Background (Preamble):
The United States Government has come to the point of being in desperate need of change. Some Congressional Leaders have been in office for so long that they have lost touch with their true purpose, which is to SERVE our Country.
An individual who has been in office for 20 years or more cannot possibly understand the needs of the average person on the street as they have been isolated in Congress for too long.

Petition:
We the undersigned do hereby Petition the United States Congress to enact legislation to limit any individual to a maximum of 12 (twelve) years of service in either branch of Congress.
These years may be consecutive or they may be from various terms of office, or may be served in a combination of the Senate and The House of Representatives, but may not total more than 12 (twelve) years.
