Should Michael Jackson be buried in his beloved Neverland?
We, the worldwide friends and fans who really love Michael sincerely, think so, yes, absolutely.
Why is this not happening?
Legal facts and other considerations:
• In California, human remains can only be buried in a licensed cemetery, unless they are cremated.
• The ranch formerly known as Neverland (the new owners call it Sycamore Valley Ranch) is zoned “agricultural”.
• Legally, it takes a Conditional Use Permit to apply for a commercial enterprise on agricultural land.
• In this valley, commerce and agriculture don’t mix, which is why Supervisor Farr said in an interview that protecting agriculture may trump any plans for a Michael.
• Neverland is on a two-lane country road across from a school way in the hills along the Santa Ynez Valley. The locals feel it's not equipped for that kind of traffic.

What are we petitioning for, and why?
We are petitioning for Neverland Ranch to become Michael’s private resting place, without any commercial component ( no museum, no public access).
Why the petition? Reasons are many, however, to rest in peace may be the most important.
Returning Neverland Ranch to him, and him to it, with honor, dignity and respect, is already long overdue.
It is the right thing to do.

We, the undersigned, call on The Jackson Family, Colony Capital, The State of California, Santa Barbara County Authorities and its residents, and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, to facilitate without any further delay, the burial of Michael Joseph Jackson's remains at the Sycamore Valley Ranch, formerly Neverland Ranch, and to declare it his final PRIVATE resting place.
We further petition the site to retain the former name of "Neverland Ranch" as well as its agricultural zone designation, with no commercial activity on premises, and restricted public access.
