This initiative is aimed at maximizing the benefits of democracy and making it all inclusive for Nigerians at home and abroad. The voice and influence of the millions of Diaspora-Nigerians is an indispensable foundation for the Nigeria of tomorrow which no serious administration can continue to ignore.

By this petition we indicate our interest and willingness to aid the cause of a better Nigeria. While it is not a silver bullet, it will lay a solid foundation and create an opportunity for us to make a difference. Please sign and forward this link to other Nigerians.

To: The Federal Government of Nigeria

We present this petition to the federal government of Nigeria as sons and daughters of Nigeria who are willing to contribute to the development of our nation. Though away in foreign lands, we want to be involved in building a democratic environment to sustain the dreams of our motherland. We are presenting this petition to vote because:

1. It is our constitutional right to vote;

2. We are responding to several invitations from the Nigerian government to help develop our nation;

3. The vote of the millions of Nigerians living abroad will make a difference;

4. It will create an equal opportunity and sense of responsibility for our emerging generation all over the world;

5. It is technologically feasible;

6. Nigeria will be a leading example to other nations;

7. This provision will enhance and strengthen the Nigerian democracy.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, urge the President, the National Assembly, and the House of Representatives to act now to create a provision to allow us register and cast our votes from our countries of residence in all subsequent Federal, State, and Local government elections.

Sincerely,
