No to Essex County Council's plans to build houses on virgin greenbelt |

Issue: Building on greenbelt land, on the corner of Chigwell High Road and Vicarage Lane, to pay for redevelopment of Chigwell County Primary School
Essex County Council recently applied to build more than 60 houses on greenbelt land on the corner of Chigwell High Road and Vicarage Lane.
This proposal was withdrawn, because the traffic survey commissioned by the applicants was defective, but the Council have indicated that they are going to resubmit an amended plan.
This new proposal will probably include, as did the last one, a partnership with a private landowner resulting in a likely huge profit for him, and destroying greenbelt land to pay for statutory obligations to fund education.

We, the undersigned, strongly support the refurbishment or rebuilding of Chigwell County Primary School, on its present site, but we strongly oppose Essex County Council's plans to build houses on virgin greenbelt to pay for this development.
Furthermore, we strongly object to the County Council's entering into partnership with, to the personal profit of, a convicted criminal.
