31. One Direction Meet and Greet in Miami

We are from Guatemala and we have already purchased our tickets for the One Direction concert in Miami.

To be able to afford them, we held bakesales and sold candy among our friends.

It is what we are planning to do to celebrate our graduation and we want it to be memorable.

32. McFly Los Angeles Venue Change

After an instant sell out of their first Los Angeles show in 6 years, McFly added a 2nd show at the same venue, the Roxy. The 2nd show went on to sell out instantly leaving a large number of fans upset because they were unable to get a ticket to see McFly.

Fans have waited over half a decade for their return and being that so many were unable to purchase a ticket because of the high demand it would only make sense to move one of these shows, if not both, to a larger venue like the El Rey, Avalon, or Henry Fonda.

38. ASIA wants VANS WARPED TOUR

People all over Asia want to experience this unforgettable fun where perfect music of bands exists.

The Warped Tour is a touring music and extreme sports festival. The tour is held in venues such as parking lots or fields upon which the stages and other structures are erected. The skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans, among others, has sponsored the tour every year since 1995, and it is often referred to as the Vans Warped Tour. The tour started out as a showcase for punk rock music, but its more recent line-ups have featured a diversity of genres.

As of the mid-2000s, the Warped Tour has featured as many as 100 bands per show. The bands play for up to 30 minutes over approximately 10 stages, although the biggest bands generally play the two main stages. Bands typically start at 11:00 a.m. and end around 9:00 p.m., with several bands playing at once. The individual band times and stages where each band play is marked on a large board usually centered in the middle of the venue.

The stages are set up in various locations around the venue to ensure one band's music is not disrupted by the other bands performing at that time. Fans can vote online for the band they want to see play a longer set as the last band of the night.

45. Bon Jovi Concert in Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki deserves a concert of Bon Jovi.

Bon Jovi is an American hard rock band from Sayreville, New Jersey. Formed in 1983, Bon Jovi consists of lead singer and namesake Jon Bon Jovi (John Francis Bongiovi, Jr.), guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, as well as current bassist Hugh McDonald. The band's lineup has remained mostly static during their history, the only exception being the departure of Alec John Such in 1994, who was unofficially replaced by Hugh McDonald.

The band became known for writing several rock anthems and achieved widespread recognition with their third album, Slippery When Wet, released in 1986. After touring and recording non-stop during the late 1980s, the band went on hiatus after the New Jersey Tour in 1990, during which time Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora both released successful solo albums. In 1992, the band returned with the album Keep the Faith. Their 2000 single "It's My Life", which followed a second hiatus, successfully introduced the band to a younger audience.

Bon Jovi has been known to use different styles in their music, which has included country for their 2007 album Lost Highway. Their latest album, The Circle, was released on November 10, 2009 in the United States.

51. Postpone 30STM's Aberdeen Concert 03/12/10

**UPDATE - Dec 4, 2010**

They ignored us and went ahead with the gig. Thus I propose they honour unused tickets for future gigs, I started a petition about it, so please sign it http://www.gopetition.com/petition/41178.html

---------------------------------------------------------

Due to the recent weather many fans are unable to attend this event. The roads are too dangerous to drive on. Airports closed. Trains are no longer running.

This is making it virtually impossible to get to and from Aberdeen! Hundreds of fans will be unable to attend and will lose out on money.

Thus, we're asking that the band simply postpone the concert for a later date.

58. No Sales Tax on Concert and Theatre Tickets

On September 22nd the associated press published an article outlining the proposed final budget plan for the state of Pennsylvania. This proposed budget among other things calls for the addition of a 6% sales tax to concert and theater tickets.

From The PA Budget Website

"$100 million from lifting the sales tax exemption on admissions costs for theater, dance, concerts and performing arts, as well as museums, historical sites, zoos and parks."

There is a specific singling out of the performance arts in this proposal. Sporting events and other forms of entertainment are not slated to receive any additional taxation in the budget proposal.

This proposal has been confirmed with the Governor's office of public liaison. As of Sept 23rd 2009 the proposal is slated to be on the Governor's desk in to weeks time in bill form for signing.

In an already crippled live performance industry and an era of limited household incomes it is important to act quickly to keep entertainment outlets affordable.

59. Denounce Death Threats Against Juanes

Freedom of expression is an inalienable right for all individuals in all countries, at all times especially in matters of civic and political expression.

There is a public debate underway concerning a concert to be held in Cuba on September 20, 2009 organized by the Colombian musician Juanes as the latest in a series of concerts around the world with the theme peace without borders.

Although the concert is described as apolitical and directed at the Cuban people there are concerns that it will be politicized by the Cuban dictatorship.

Both Juanes and his critics have a right to exercise their freedom of expression.

Nevertheless, individuals have crossed that line and demonstrated their contempt for fundamental human rights. Two clear examples first on August 14th on 35th Ave. and SW 8th Street where a black shirt representing Juanes was doused with a flammable liquid and set on fire by a demonstrator who stated to the press: “This is what we are going to do with him burn him for being a communist, a traitor, a terrorist, and for licking Fidel Castro’s boots.” Secondly, A day later on Twitter Juanes received the following message: "I hate what you are saying but you will die for defending your right to say it."

These are not examples of free speech but verbal assaults: the threat to carry out physical harm against an individual. This is intolerable in a free society.

This is the kind of language used by Cuban government agents to intimidate members of the opposition in Cuba and reflects a country that today has 21 imprisoned journalists recognized by the Committee to Protect Journalists and 58 activists recognized by Amnesty International as prisoners of conscience rotting in prisons; where a man cries out in front of a camera that he is hungry and is sentenced to two years in prison. These are the kind of threats that are all too common in Cuba.

They are unacceptable in a free society.
