Anonymous, Cuba, MO, United States of America
am a recovering Opiate user prescribed from my pain clinic, due to my chronic pain. I had to complete a program to get off of these. I did NOT ask to be put on Opiate's and was NOT aware of what they would do to me or my life. Even though they helped with my chronic pain, I was not taught anything about these from my physician. You only have to be taking Opiates for a week and you can be addicted. I still have Chronic Pain and would like some kind of relief from this. I know if I could have a Dr. prescribe me a little Cannabis it would help me with my every day life. I work a full time job and manage to get by. But Marijuana is NOT addicting and will NOT ruin my life. I don't understand how the Law thinks Marijuana is not worse than Opiates or Alcohol. Yet the Dr.'s can prescribe Opiates to kids and we sell alcohol at the stores. These two drugs are addictive and are ruining peoples lives. Please reconsider your thought on the Marijuana Law's in Missouri.

Angelino Lefevers, Columbia, Missouri, United States of America
The majority of American citizens wants something to change in the justice system and it has been proven so. However the few lawmakers directly deny our freedom to choose what is best for us. This is anything but the democracy in which our country was founded and the democracy which millions of soldiers died trying to protect and spread to other countries. If the lawmakers decide not to allow marijuana use to us citizens then I demand that they give us a damn good reason why not and to prove that it is truly for our benefit and not theirs or their bank accounts. "Those who surrender freedom for security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one" Benjamin Franklin

Mr Aarden Gross, Rocky comfort, missouri, United States of America
I am a voting Missouri Republican and this is how I see things. The subject of ending marijuana prohibition legalizing it for the consumption of adults shouldn't even be a subject of discussion. Not one reasonable argument can be given to why it's illegal in the first place. In Missouri we believe we should have the right to choose what we want we put into our bodies, most of us will continue to stay drug free, it's is simply having the choice taken away that angers so many. And speaking towards the dangers of marijuana the only danger is being thrown in jail, loosing your financial aid, your job, your family and your home, because you were carrying a piece of dried plant in your pocket. People are already smoking marijuana you would not be introducing a new product you would simply be regulating an existing one.
