<p>For one product I actually used the warranty, and the person that came to inspect it had blammed it on customer neglect. Warranty was denied.</p>

<p>I plan to take the Brick to court to claim back all the purchases I have made under their warrant program.</p>]]></description>

The Credit would not cover the purchase of a new Dresser and the re-selection entails purchasing a new dresser at cost difference of approx. $300-400.  I was under the impression that the warranty would cover the fact that I need a functioning dresser, The Brick is forcing me to purchase a New Dresser with out of pocket funds.  The Brick Warranty is a BIG SCAM!  Now the onus falls on the consumer to scramble and have a proper and functioning piece a furniture with a useless service warranty purchased from The Brick.</p>]]></description>

The expiry date was hand written on the agreement jacket was Dec 31, 2013 (you have 90 days to redeem the money back from this date) - nowhere is it indicated on the agreement the period of the warranty nor the expiry date. We tried to redeem the credit this January and found that it can only be used for furniture and can not be for more than one item. So we selected what we wanted but when we went to the counter they told us that our program expired on Dec 31, 2012 not 2013! - they won&#039;t honor the redemption even though their own salesman made the mistake writing the date a year later. They told us we can purchase the item we chose at cost and give them another $250!<br />
The duration of the warranty is not clearly stated on the agreement nor the invoice. We were suppose to know that PPV4W### stands for a four year warranty - which includes the manufacturer&#039;s warranty period of one year!<br />
To top it off you can&#039;t talk to corporate customer service. All you have is the store manager or an email - god knows if they will ever respond!</p>]]></description>

It was a floor model and the Brick would m=not complete the sale unless we purchased a $240.00, 4 year, extended warranty. We were told that after the 4 years if we have not used the warranty, we would receive a store credit for the same value of $240.00. The salesman joke that we could put it towards a newer model of our tv.<br />
For the past two years we have wanted a tv for our bedroom, know we had this credit coming due, we waited excitedly for the end date to arrive.<br />
We pre-chose the tv we wanted and on the morning the credit was t come into effect we rushed to our local Brick, only to be told the credit was not good for a tv. In fact the store manager was very rude and dismissive. When we tried to engage him in discussion, h blew us off and told us to take up our complaint with th warranty company, a the warranty had nothing to do with the Brick.<br />
The Brick more or less forced the warranty on us  and now will not and behind it. I am appalled and disgusted by the managers attitude and behavior.<br />
On our way out a salesman stopped me and apologetically told me this happens on a regular basis and he has never seen any resolutions.</p>]]></description>

Submitted another claim the following year when they told us the couch was actually bonded leather and vinyl and that was not covered under the warranty so they cannot do anything for us. We have an email from them when they fixed the first time that we could submit as many claims as needed in the 5 years and they would fix it. Now they won&#039;t do anything and you cannot get past the customer service to speak to a manager, we&#039;ve been trying for weeks to no avail.</p>]]></description>

By the way I decided to email you to see the right action for repair of the bought items. If you consider the file you see the extra warranty that we have bought but there is no care from The Brick Costumer Service.<br />
The latest File # for the repair request is: 32614 as I could get it from the Warranty Department after two month and five times of same request.</p>]]></description>

I called as my 5 year warranty is coming up to have the sofa cleaned (as there are stains- that are covered in the blanket warranty they sold me). The rep at the warranty office says that I am responsible to pay for a professional cleaner to come out and clean it first and only in the event that this professional cleaner that I am paying for cannot clean the sofa than she will send out someone to inspect it before arranging to have someone clean it.</p>

<p>I cannot find the details of this non-sense process anywhere. The warranty on the site clearly says they will cover these stains. I cannot understand the logic of paying for a warranty on stains if in the end I am still responsible to pay to have it cleaned by someone else.</p>

<p>I would like to know if anyone has had any luck speaking to someone at the Brick who is reasonable or has had any movement with their warranty requests.</p>

<p>I find it absurd that a large company like the Brick has been able to get away with something that feels like such an illegal retail practice.</p>]]></description>

Our 2 year old leather sofa has the leather cracking and peeling off on one cusion.  When contacted the warranty we were told that the dog ate it and the warranty was void.  we provided pictures that clearly showed the damage was from poor quality materials, not from any animal, however The Brick refuses to honor the warranty.  It appears they are scam artists.  I would boycott them</p>]]></description>

I have been told that due to nail polish on my loveseat which is clearly stated as covered under the warranty that I have neglected and misused my furniture so they will not repair the cracking vinyl.  I asked what one had to do with the other and he said I neglected my furniture.  No other explanation.  I was also lead to believe that vinyl cracking would be covered and I had specifically asked that question.</p>]]></description>
