The students don't have to know about the firearms or even which teachers are carrying them. Another option could be implementing a police force in each school. I know thats a lot of money but if we can find ways to fund extra curriculars, then we can find a way to fund policeman

With no one able to protect the students, the shooter can KEEP shooting either until they kill themselves or the police come in. HOW LONG WILL THE MONSTER KEEP SHOOTING? SOMEONE HAS TO STOP HIM. The teachers are there on site, they should be able to take appropriate action.
