This was something she didn't want to do, as the stigma can be hard to shake. A friendly face, shoulder to cry on, and some helpful good advice would have been much more beneficial than the intrusion that she has subsequently felt she has endured. All she needed was a substitute for a partner to help her through the baby blues and any further minor matters.

Make it compulsary for teachers to report any concerns.
