Often there are views expressed of majors such as cultural studies and philosophy, and perhaps Gender and Sexuality if it becomes a major, that they have no 'use' in terms of employment. However, I believe they have overwhelming use for many in understanding and living life, and in constructing our views and hence the society we live in. Gender and Sexuality so effect us and who we want to be, and I support the proposal of making it a major.
