More affordable housing is required to accommodate an increasing population, but not in the SouthEast; organisations need to be shared across the UK and the extra housing needs to mirror the necessary development.

Mr Stephen Miles, BORDON
With the first major decision on the preferred Hampshire County Council route for the so-called Inner Relief Road for the supposed eco-town of Whitehill and Bordon the promoters of this project have indicated that in reality they have no concern or understanding of the concept of biodiversity. In choosing the route promoted in Councillor Kendall's decision day meeting at Hampshire County Council in January 2013 they have chosen a route that does maximum damage to the natural history of this area. This decision illustrates the hypocrisy of the "eco" pre-fix for the whole Whitehill and Bordon project and its damaging approach and lack of respect and concern for the wildlife of this rich area.

Construction of this relief road route will result in a minimum of eleven categories of wildlife loss. Thus a net and unacceptable loss of biodiversity will occur at the very start of this project.
