I gave my 10 year old granddaughter ten addition problems like 13+81 or 46+55. I told her to figure them out using common core, step by step on paper.. and at the same time, I would figure them out the way I was taught.. without a calculator. I accomplished two things. I finished all my problems... correctly, before she finished her first problem, AND I unknowingly hurt her feelings. She thought she was stupid!!!!! This is a 10 year old.. STRAIGHT A student! Oh, she got all but 1 of her answers right...2 sheets of paper and 15 minutes later.The hurt feelings were taken care of as well but NEVER would have been an issue in the first place if our children were not being FORCED to look stupid, drop out of school, go on welfare and shoot up the whole school. Common Core is government control of childrens brains and therefore their future. END IT.
