Many new outlets now have opened where you never see trouble. There is no longer any need for this outlet. This outlet contributes to the rising amount of alcohol disease in Ealing. It's therefore in the public interest to reduce the number of off licences starting at this address because it is the biggest alcohol seller in Hanwell.

The park, designated a place for the elderly is consistently occupied by people drinking alcohol and being unruly. Carrier bags from the off-licence with empty beer cans litter the park, the pond and the railings. The police, thankfully, are making more routine visits to the area, however alcohol misuse seems to be the main driver. There was a smashed beer bottle in our garden which was reported to the police. Often drinkers congregate around the park and by the path leading to the woods at the corner of Connelly Road and Half Acre Road. The eradication of alcohol being consumed in the area would help, as would further police patrols and CCTV.

It doesn't make sense when the Council is aware there is a home for recovering alcoholics a stone throw from all these shops. Make it more difficult for these addicts to find premises on their doorstep where they can buy alcohol easily.

These actions go against the Licensing Objectives set by law, of:

The prevention of crime and disorder
The promotion of public safety
The prevention of public nuisance
The protection of children from harm

The Nest, has been one of the most serious, repeated, transgressors of the terms of their alcohol sales licence
