I am 17 year old African american girl, my mother is a single parent with two kids and we did receive welfare when I was younger for a short period of time. We did stop receiving the benefit because we were doing so much better. I'm just so.tired of people miss using the program! People unlike my mother, out there not trying to find a job and show their kids not to rely on the government. It makes me sick to my stomach that people would rather lie to receive the benefited than actually work hard for their future.

It is a girl that resides in the apartments that I live in, and she gets Tanf, Foodstamps, Section 8, and a utility check. She has for children already with two on the way, she doesn't work. None of the children fathers are involved at all. I feel like its okay to help out but how much help does a person need when they are steady having children, it should be a limit to all the assistance or a program that helps you when you are trying to help yourself.
