It builds their self esteem. There are not many opportunities to build the kids self esteem anymore with peer pressure, bullying, etc. This is simple: the kids have done the work, it just needs to be covered and printed. It truly can and does make a difference. If you did a poll of former athletes, I am sure that they all have at least one article they have cut out with their name in it...myself included and that was over 20 yrs ago.
