But it is just this sort of enterprise that the government are meant to be helping. I too run a family business that my wife and kids depend on and my heart really goes out to the owners. It is an absolute disgrace and should not be allowed to happen. What will the council be left with now? An empty wasteland that no business could ever afford to take over that's what! Heritage Farm was not just a business, Many people like my self not only went there to purchase pets and products but to visit to enjoy the animals and to use the cafe. Parents bring their children here for a much enjoyed visit, a cheap trip out rather than being stuck inside. My wife and I enjoyed to walk the few miles here looking forward with every step a visit to the cafe then to see the owls etc

It is unbelievable that a local council that is elected to maintain the interests of its local community is ignoring them and forcing Heritage Farm to close, it is a disgrace and you should be ashamed of yourselves. I work for the London Ambulance Service up at St Helier as a medic so I am well aware of the responsibility that comes with serving the public. It is your job to aid protect and if need be subsidise businesses that provide such a fantastic service such as Heritage Farm provides to the local community.

The overall impact of their decision so far has impacted negatively on the local community and I feel the loss of such an important amenity for adults and children alike to meet and be educated in a friendly environment would be a travesty. The fact that jobs have been lost and the owners will lose their home, just compounds the issue. Therefore, please can common sense prevail. Surrey County Council needs to set a more reasonable rent rise? I know I write for a number of people in saying that Heritage Farm Nurseries is a very important part of the local community in terms of jobs and providing an affordable venue for many people to meet in friendly environment. Please think about the negative impact of the suggested rent rise and reconsider.
