The plot, characters and setting are all magnificent. It is a pleasure to step into a time in Australia's history and really feel as if one is there. The actors are splendid in their portrayal of each of their characters. The issues are ones that are a reflection of social mores of the time. The costumes and sets are all well researched and perfectly presented. Most Australians are heartily sick of reality shows and this series is a welcome step back in time in which to lose oneself with pleasure. Please do not cease production on this excellent series.

Chanel 7 chooses wrong times of the evening for this show. there are too many stupid shows on at an early time . people working will not stay up late it is very sad and bad to not produce series 3. or to make a dvd of this series to complete the set as I have purchased series 1 and 2. It makes one reluctant to watch another new show incase it gets canned before the end.
