It keeps them headed on a productive path and away from bad influences. I think our government has failed our state, don't fail our kids by doing the same with 4-h. Cutting 4-h is a slap in the face of Louisiana voters by saying that there are no other cuts that can be done and fraud and good oh boy politics that need to be removed.

They have grown over the years through 4-H! We have wonderful agents who motivate our kids to be the best they can be and they get them to try things they may have never considered trying! I am also a mother of former 4-Hers and so proud to say that my children have become adults of great character. I,too, am a former 4-Her who has wonderful memories of my 4-H years. I was a participant and held several offices. My grandchildren will soon be of age to join 4-H and are looking forward to it. I believe that 4-H has contributed greatly to the wonderful qualities I see in my own children as well as so many other children. 4-H teaches children to be active participants in society and also exposes them to the qualities of good citizenship. Why would any government want to take away such an auspicious program! 4-H is an organization that promotes family and has been part of my family's tradition. Please keep it in our state.
