No junior stuctuers in PFA (Pinetown Football Association). We at Hillary Football Club have 6 senior teams, but all our juniors are walking the streets as they have no teams to play against. This all came about when a number of clubs unloyal clubs left to play in the DCFA, leaving loyal PFA teams, unhappy. On approaching DCFA in an attempt to move later on, we were told that SAFA had rezoned the areas and that the unloyal clubs would return. Todate this has not been the case. There are thousands of kids (black, white, brown, pink0 that now are leaving the sport to either play in other codes or have turned to house breaking, robbery etc. lets take the kids of the streets!

I know that the organisation is in turmoil in Durban as I coach in senior and junior age groups and don't let them tell you that everything is ok because it is not. We should know as we are goverened by them and every year it gets worse. I fund development of my players from my own pocket and raise funds aswell. We don't even know when the league will kick off this year.The referees don't alwayse arrive and we hardly have a full compliment of 3 officials. There is no annual published provincial selection procedure in place. My list goes on but I am not allowed enough characters in this forum to express all my concerns. It is sad however to know that the upper delegates of SAFA think that everything is ok at grass roots level.

Please send this to all your contacts as the South African Football Association have been bleeding the Football fraternity dry for decades with no funding, no resources and no development structures. I grew up in Apartheid South Africa and I can tell you the Football structures were a million times better back then despite us being isolated from world sport. Do this for the future generations otherwise the SAFA officials will get rich and the football public in South Africa will be the loser....
