Jerry Myers, Yarmoth, ME, United States of America
I do not object in principle to the 38 single family dwellings, but think that the density is still too much when wetlands are considered. However, I am strongly opposed to the 32 unit multi-family portion of the plan. It is entirely out of context with the character of the neighborhood. Does this proposal even meet code? Finally, there has been absolutely no consideration given to the improvement of Hillside St, sidewalks, sewers, etc.

Drs Timothy and Charlotte Carnes, Yarmouth, Maine
We are concerned on all counts but especially about the environmental issues. We have lived downstream for thirty-five years and have witnessed first-hand the effects of development on TanYard Brook. Despite three attempts, the town was unable to prevent erosion of the banks. To save their home, our neighbors had to pay for the engineering and construction of a huge stone retaining wall.
Who decided less than full storm water buffering and building on slopes and wetlands are appropriate?

Mr. George Barber, Yarmouth, ME, United States of America
Let's not be rilroaded into an uniformed decision by a Planning board that should have the residents of Yarmouth and their well-being in mind, despite the Town of Yarmouth somewhat concealed politically motivated attempt to railroad their ideas through the Planning board in a hurry. This is just not right. Example: The developer actually loses value by having one of his street become a through street and shortcut. So, it wasn't in HIS best interest in proposing it. TOO MUCH BACK DOOR STUFF!!!!!

Mr. Joel Antolini, Yarmouth, ME, United States of America
I would add that before any housing is allowed that plan call for a tree buffer that would block views of development from people using Hillside St. An example of the good use of a tree buffer can be seen at how view of Oakwood development is blocked by trees when using Hillside. No one wants to see all those new houses where there once used to be trees.
