I totally agree, I have found clothing that are more expensive in the thrift store than the actual store the item was from!! this is ridiculous. It is a THRIFT SHOP ! that's why I go there

I am a long time Thrift Store shopper. I live just up the street but will often go to Ladner instead as the prices in Tsaw are 2 to 3 times the prices there. These are used goods and should be priced accordingly. Especially purses and shoes...very overpriced.

I have not even shopped at the Tsawwassen Thrift store for a few years now. I buy almost all my clothes, and my daughter"s clothes from thrift stores. The last time I walked into the Tsa. store I saw the ridiculous prices, walked right back out and have not returned.

Yes they are second hand items, I dont think they should charge so much for things they are still second hand no matter how you look at it. People are there to shop for a bargain not to pay and arm and a leg for things, prices have skyrocketed in the last few years it is out rageous

I agree - the pricing at Tsawwassen Hospice Thrift store has become ludicrous. Oft times items are priced with absolutely no knowledge of what they are, current retail values, or condition. I have seen similar items in Curio shops, antique stores, consignment stores and full-on retail stores for less money than this thrift store prices them at. Most people I know have stopped shopping and donating there. From conversations with workers I know that there has been a significant decline in client base and donations. Wandering around the store I hear people murmuring to themselves and friends about the current level of pricing and how they feel about the shop. None of it is good. I have on several occasions attempted to try and inform the manager there of errors in the pricing structure - to no avail of course. One lady, after attempting the same was thrown out of the shop by the same manager. Shameful.

I agree that prices have sky rocketed over the past few months. The pricing system is also questionable, eg. a 100% cashmere sweater marked $5 next to a "Joe" sweater, also $5. I won't even go into the "boutique" pricing. It's a Thrift Store. Perhaps the people doing the pricing normally shop at regular reail stores so are out of touch with what young Mums and Seniors can afford.
