I could see the DVD having an option on the menu to play the movie with either the Japanese songs or the English ones. This was one of my favorite movies growing up and the only Ghibli film that we owned. One of my favorite parts of the movie was when the song "Soaring" would play. It made me feel like I could do anything! I like the Japanese version as well but it doesn't have the same effect due to the fact that I have no clue what the singer is saying. I want this film on DVD because a tiny bit of the beginning of my VHS is cut off because it was taped off of TV and didn't start recording right when the movie did. Plus, I don't know how much longer my VCR is going to hold out! The only problem is I don't want to buy a DVD that has one of the biggest parts of my childhood cut out! I implore you! Please release a DVD with the option to choose the version you want. My Beauty and the Beast has an option to play the original theatrical release as well as the version with the song "Human Again" in it, so I know you can do it Disney! Your entire company is founded upon making dreams come true and allowing people to feel like a kid again, but you've taken a piece of thousands of people's childhoods. I humbly ask once more, please give us a DVD with at least the option to play the movie with Sydney Forest's songs.
