This country, a long time ago, opened it’s doors to people from all over the world that wanted to have a better life, it was known as a “Melting Pot.” But now, we treat people like criminals who want a better life. Children who were born here in this country, who are legal citizens of this country because of that fact are forced to see their parents kicked out of the country because they are on a visa or crossed the border in a fashion deemed unacceptable in hopes for a better life. Don’t get me wrong, I do believe people who want to come into this country should go through the proper procedures to gain citizenship but I don’t think the action of achieving citizenship in the U.S. should be near impossible (which is the cause of so many illegal immigrants).

Moving on; we live in a Country that for far too many years, enslaved people because of the color of their skin and after many deaths, legal battles, and even wars, finally the end of this era came. A time that brought the end to segregation and slavery finally arrived. Yet somehow, far too many still don’t realize that African Americans are actually Human. The fight that took the longest was women getting the right to vote and the right to have an abortion (Roe Vs. Wade). Despite all of these achievements the “Good Ol’ Boys” remained in power and still do today that say that women are somehow inferior to men. That say that even though a woman has a body of her own, it’s someone else’ place to tell women what they’re allowed to do with it.

Women don’t make the same money a man does in the working world. Why? Because in some version of reality apparently there are far too many people who still believe women aren’t human beings capable of making grown up decisions and are somehow inferior to men.

We tell our kids we love them unconditionally, but some of “us” in this country only mean that as long as they don’t tell us that they’re gay because apparently for some parents, that’s a deal breaker. We’re supposed to be treated equally regardless of sex, age, religion, etc. So says the First Amendment, yet based on one religion alone, apparently the judicial system, even though church and state are supposed to be separate according to that apparently insignificant document I mentioned before, we are told who we are and are not allowed to love and marry.

We let rapists sue for child custody, tell children that if they are raped that they must still bear the child of this criminal. We tell women that even if it means their own death they must risk child birth. Never mind the mental anguish that must exist in cases of incest, that doesn’t matter to people like Donald Trump. These women, children and adults alike, are being told they will be imprisoned if they take control of their own bodies.

On top of that, Donald Trump openly admitted he is created a bias Supreme Court by appointing judges who’ll side with him on issues like Roe vs. Wade. Is it not supposed to be that Judges, as I asked above, are supposed to be impartial, look at the evidence and arguments presented to them and make an impartial, educated decision? But no, they’re being asked by Donald Trump to make a decision based on his and apparently their political agenda. Doing this in this manner will almost certainly destroy whatever credibility is left of the Judicial System in the United States of America.

The Sixth Amendment says U.S. citizens have the right to a fair, impartial jury (paraphrasing here), if the Judges in the Supreme court are the jury and have been put together with the intent of a bias outcome, how does this not quite clearly violate the Sixth Amendment?

"Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" is perhaps one of the two most important statements made in the Declaration of Independence, only second perhaps to All Men are Created Equally. The problem with the second statement is that the word “Men” is used and apparently there are still too many people in the world that believe this doesn’t include women, but here’s the thing...the word MEN is literally in their designation. Wo-MEN! Perhaps what needs to be taken to court is the issue of whether the Declaration of Independence needs to be amended to say HUMANS instead of men. It can’t happen? I don’t believe that true and we also didn’t believe it would ever happen perhaps that a president of the U.S. would ever be as bold as to try to take the country back to the stone age, but that is happening too.

The Pursuit of Happiness is an important phrase when you consider the topic of abortion. Do you believe that young women are pursuing happiness when they are forced to give birth to a child that is the ‘product’ of rape and/or incest? Do you believe they are pursuing happiness when giving birth to a child or carrying a child to term could result in their own death? Do you believe they are pursuing happiness if they know there is a very high chance the child could be born with significant defects and if not kept, would just end up in foster care? Do you think that a female child who doesn’t perhaps have the education or responsibility that she should and gets pregnant is pursuing happiness by being forced to keep a child that would create unbearable hardship at a young age and not allow that child to continue education and prepare herself for adulthood?

At what point does it stop being about Democrat vs. Republican, Christian vs. Everyone Else, and start becoming about the fact we are all human beings and we are supposed to live in a free country and have the right to live equally and choose the way we want to live? At what point is enough enough? How many steps backward must we take in time, how many laws must we eradicate to allow people like Donald Trump to control society?

People need to stand up and start speaking out against the eradication of human rights! We cannot stand for this, whether you are a man or a woman, we need to stand together against the attempted continuation of the eradication of equality!
