I am a bass fisherman and fish all over VA and believe a state ramp at Aquia would also help offset the crowding at Leesylvania State Park. While were on the subject it would be great if the state could put a ramp on the Pamunkey River. We currently use a private ramp that is the only access above West Point and it is old and over crowded.

With that much land you can separate it from the rest of the park and still have plenty of recreational area for the non boaters.

Many using the overcrowded Leesylvania facility travel from the south driving past this proposed site to get there. It would also improve access to the more southern parts of the river. A state park should serve the needs of all those who enjoy the outdoors and a powerboat launch would be one way to achieve this and provide additional revenue.
