Anonymous
I resigned from my position at the USPS to pursue my degree. I depend on financial aid and scholarships to support myself and family while I am attending school full time. Additional expenses will greatly decrease my ability to continue focusing on my degree and thus force me to enter the workforce again, leading me to cut my full time schedule to a part time schedule prolonging my graduation date further.

Anonymous
As a veteran I do agree with these changes. The extra money that I use from book allowance goes straight to my bills. Thank you chancellor for telling how I must learn.

Deborah Sparks
Students should have the option to purchase their textbooks anywhere they please, exercising the freedom of choice for what is purchased and from whom. This mandate borders on the monopolization of the textbook dollars by one source, which would be the Alamo Colleges book store. This policy removes the consumer freedom in the marketplace, competition, and consumer choice. Replacing instead what resembles the school's attempt at a dictatorship to students in their purchasing requirements. This policy is inappropriate. Allow students the choice to purchase the books from Alamo Colleges, but don't make it a mandate.
