SEWER PROJECTS ARE FOR THE GOOD OF ALL. SIMILARLY, THEY CAN BE OF DIRE CONSEQUENCES WHEN DESIGNED AND IMPLEMENTED WITHOUT PROPER MONITORING AND EVALUATION. SO, THE PROPOSED GESABAKWA SEWER MUST BE OF GREAT IMPORTANCE TO THE PEOPLE OF KEROKA AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD BUT WE MUST BE TOLD THE SOCIOECONOMIC IMPLICATIONS OF THE PROJECT TO THE RESIDENTS. THANKS.

environmental assessment need to be done; the wishes of the community take into consideration; and most importantly, those concerned should take note that the land is held on behalf of the community on trusteeship basis. i have agonized over the matter and am doing a memorandum showing why it is unsustainable to have a sewage in the middle of a village and specifically in a water catchment area. too, i am travelling to the village to vouch on the authenticity of the claims and engage the stakeholders. in the meantime, let all of us speak in our voice and resoundingly condemn the intended violations of the social-economic rights of the community

Whoever is thinking of the project should get the priorities of the community right. Kindly he should take note of the following before s/he embarks on any other plans.
1.Whom did s/he consult before s/he thinking of that project?
2.What plans does s/he have for those who are using that facility during recreational time?
3.Where is s/he going to transfer those using the field as a grazing ground?
4.Who will be the beneficiaries of the said "project"?
The "Ekerubo" field is a source of income and hence we cannot accept purported plans.
The residents within the area will not benefit at all, otherwise this will bring poverty and insecurity simultaneously.
PUT TO A HOLD ALL THE PLANS YOU HAVE.
EVERY RESIDENT HAS A PIT LATRINE SO WE DO NOT NEED THE SEWER.

The grounds are used for talent development hence a sewarage can not be constructed in the site. I strongly oppose it.
