Its definition derives from God, who, from the beginning, established marriage for a two-fold purpose: conjugal union and procreation. Homosexual persons cannot truly marry because they cannot fulfill either one of these purposes. Recourse to in vitro fertilization and surrogate motherhood is a shame. Children are supposed to be the fruit of love, not genetic manipulation. Children have a right to be born of and raised by a mother and a father. If God wanted homosexuals to be parents, He would have made them capable of procreation, or He would have established an evolutionary process whereby this could be achieved by them. Obviously, homosexual activity and so-called same-sex marriage are intrinsically aberrant and immoral realities. They contravene the Natural Moral Law. No government, no law, no state, no mere opinion, or cultural trend can make homosexuality "normal" just as 2 +2 will always equal 4 and NACL will always signify SALT. To approve of homosexuality as the "new normal" is as absurd as trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Goverment can't change "mother nature." God have mercy on those who dare!

You taking this power away from states, couples wouldn't have to apply for a state marriage license. Federal government would have to honor joint filing by couples without be officially married by state laws. Insurance providers, company providing benefits, and pensions whether private or public would have to honor this union too. And why? This goes for bigamy, sibling relations, incest, swinging couples, etc. And all the litigation cases. Pass Convictions would be thrown out and retried for joint tax frauds, domestic violence, sexual assault, and relationship with the victim or witness.
