If the Council has hired lawyers to see if the covanant on the land can be broken, the Council seems to have made a decision to support this project without public consultation.

It has a vibrant high street with all the shops we need for day to day provisions. We drive to a large supermarket in Newton Abbot once a week and this is the way we choose to shop. The last thing Bovey Tracey needs is a supermarket on the edge of town bringing in a huge amount of extra traffic including large lorries for the benefit of the supermarket, not the town. If the council does go ahead and give permission the townspeople should introduce an injunction on the development and if that is not effective sue the council members for negligence
