Even if the school used the field from 9am until 6pm each day of each term time, if fenced in, it would leave the enclosed area unused and unavailable for about 80% of the year. The reasons given by the school for wishing to enclose the field are extreme and over stated on all counts. The field belongs to us the public and it should remain that way, after all, we pay for it!

Keep Longthorpe School as it is. Why not build a new school on the site of PDH when it is demolished. Longthorpe would be spoilt if this fencing off took place.
