What is the point in having traffic lights on a round about in the first place? Surely one or the other is sufficient. Also the lights are not on all of the exits. Have noted on numerous occassions when switched off traffic flows more freely & without incident.

Those traffic lights are a confounded nuisance and cause congestion for road users.
As the recent rat infestation and subsequent damage to the signalling system has shown, there is no need for them on this roundabout.
I suppose the pelican crossings could stay for the sake of the very occasional pedestrian.

I use the Longbridge roundabout on a regular basis. While the lights were out of action recently the traffic flow was very good, and I did not get delayed at all. Since the lights are back it seems now to be more dangerous, as there are usually a large number of vehicles stationary on the roundabout, and others exiting from the non controlled roads weaving in and out!

i use the round about on the way to work(Gatwick) after driving from london croydon area,i approach it from the M23 side and then have to go back on myself towards the airport
A23 southbound,i get caught at two sets of lights at the roundabout, this is by far the most demoralising part of my journey,surely the phasing could be better?

I use this roundabout Monday thru Friday on my way to and from work. When the lights are not working I never have a delay. When they are on I am delayed on every journey in both directions. The lights are a total waste of time and money.
