You mean to tell me that this is the most fiscally responsible decision that a President and 8 VP's can come to? Maybe you should consider releasing 1 or 2 VP's to cover the deficit. This program provides a service to the college and the community. Can you say that each VP serves that purpose?

I was blown away by the preparation students are given that goes beyond observing the classroom. For parents, to see them lose their support system with no definite alternatives breaks my heart. I know I will find work, but I fear I will never find a place that supports community and the the growth and development of people young and old in the same way as PCDC.

As a 4 year old she knows almost all of her letters and colors, in addition to shapes and some numbers. In my experience this puts her well ahead of her average peers that have not attended such a school. THe Co-Op design has let my wife attend school full-time, while I work full time. We would not have been able to afford such quality childcare without it.

The center has been a great support for children and their families and mine has become very fond of the teachers here as well. By cutting this program many students, especially single mothers, will be either hurting finanically trying to pay for other preschool-childcare options or have to stay home with their children unable to attend school.

I trust the teachers and if I want, can go and observe him and his interactions without his knowing. This has been a great way for me to see that he is OK and to be able to concentrate on my school work. I am an A+ student, on the honor roll and think that without this program, I wouldn't be doing so good in my life or my school.

Our little girl has learned SO much through the staff, students, and teachers at PCDC. It is very sad to see this program being cut. If there are alternatives to running/funding the program, I encourage and urge administrators to find another way. Having a center on campus for our students (I was a student and my husband was a student) is so incredibly valuable. It helped us have peace of mind and to focus on our studies.
