Mr. Skinner not only taught the material well but also instilled in his students the value of hard work and dedication. His influence has inspired me to push myself to my limits throughout high school and in my life. Mr. Skinner taught his students how to evaluate issues, ask questions, and think about how history relates to the issues of today. In our world, the ability to think independently is truly a valuable one and one that Mr. Skinner worked to develop in his students.
It is an injustice to Catholic School students that teachers hold positions based primarily on seniority rather than ability and performance. He made me completely interested in a subject that I thought would be an utter waste of time. Mr. Skinner's passion for European history was felt by every student in the classroom. It made me actually want to research a certain topic, that we might have talked about in class, at home. That sort of drive, created a truly unique classroom experience. Mr. Skinner's class motivated me to try to understand the subject and his interest in history was contagious. His class sophomore year made me a morning person. I loved first period European History. It would be a shame if Mr. Skinner could not return to LC. It would be a shame if future LC students were not open to the same experience I had. I can't see anyone being able to fill the shoes of who I, and many others, deem to be the perfect teacher.

This, however, is one case where I will make an exception and sign my name. Mr. Jason Skinner is amoung the very best teachers I have ever encountered, as a student myself through 12 years of Catholic education, college, and law school and as a parent. Two of my children have taken his classes, and I look forward to my third being able to be taught by Mr. Skinner next year. Please reconsider and find a way for Jason Skinner to remain where he is loved and needed, at Lansdale Catholic!

Parents, and students, love him not because he is the "easy" teacher, but because he is tough, he really cares, and his students are treated like the capable young adults they are. Few teachers with 20 or 30 years experience even come close. He is knowledgeable, interesting, fast moving, and above all high energy. Lansdale Catholic would be greatly diminished without him. Please keep Jason Skinner at LC!

It is a shame that you choose to dismiss teachers like him and keep other teachers who do not make nearly as great of an impact in a student's life.
