Not knowing the difference between Support Kids and NC I agreed and let them take money from my check for 6 years. I moved back to NC when my son was 17 and 1.5 years later I was ordered to court to answer charges of arrears in the amount of $19k. Support Kids had not reported any of the money they had collected from me nor had they sent the money to my son. I paid the court $1000 on my first appearance and an attorney another $2500 to help me with this matter. NC refuses to give me credit for the money that I paid Support Kids because they do not deal with them. According to the case worker, my ex and or Support Kids was suppose to notify them when the case was opened with SK so that the NC case could be closed and arrears would not accumulate. That didn't happen, but they know she opened the case with SK, and still refuse to give me credit for the $19800 I paid while living out of the state. The $1000 I mentioned earlier was collected by NC and then intercepted by SK and she didn't get on penny of that money either. Something has to be done, and now
