Need a bigger and cooler room for waiting area with television/basic cable. Need more equipments. Need to setup intercom system so doctors can communicate with the receptionist and patients awaiting turn to be seen. Nice for VA to have transportation for clients who don't have transportation to the clinic and back to residence.

I understand there is a lot of red tape to go through before we are treated to the best of everyones ability. But in remote places as American Samoa, this just has to be changed.

The local VA clinic, while a good idea and a good step in the right direction, is woefully inadequate to deal with the many serious and significant medical problems for Veterans living in American Samoa. Shame on the government and shame on Congress for allowing such shabby treatment! A person on Welfare in California or elsewhere in the mainland get better medical treatment than that which is provided to Veterans in American Samoa. We have earned the right to this.

I'm grateful to have this facility in American Samoa (AS). Let this be a starting point to a state-of-the-art facility with "expanded services" to serve the veterans and our medical needs. We do not need to wait 7 to 10 days for a medical appointment to see the doctor at ASCBOC. More than once, I've tried to see the doctor that particular day due to illness, I was informed "go to LBJ Emergency Room". Call back in 7 to 10 days.
