When my wife and I purchased our house (and we are not rich, we worked hard to be able to move from the urban life) we were assured that the woods surrounding our estate were there IN PERPURTUITY. I hope the Council will not allow this development to proceed and take also into account the amount of derelict areas and houses that could help fulfil what seems to be the 'government' directives.

I agree with many of the comments already posted on here, I'd like to add that a project of this nature will take many years to complete and cause significant disruption for all local residents. I don't believe this development have a positive impact on the value of our homes either.

We live directly off Jenny Brough Lane and there is already far too much traffic using this road, resulting in many accidents / near misses. There isnt a footpath or street lighting along half of it. The council has already changed the access onto Jenny Brough Lane (traffic calming measures) blocking off one access and installing traffic lights, due to accidents including deaths, you are aware of the dangers already.... I cannot believe the Council would consider allowing a burden of over 1000 additional cars daily using this road, especially as they are already aware this road simply cannot cope. What impact would a development this size have with regards to flooding ?. There are also insifficient facilities to support any more housing in this area. What is going to happen to all of the wildlife !!!!! Do not let this area be spoilt by over development.

There is no reason that the majority of them have to built on one piece of land .
500 houses will take a minimum of 10years to develop can you imagine the noise and upheaval and muck this would generate .
Think again and don't just listen to a developer who promises investment and bribes of all weather pitches etc . so that they can a piece of land out of green belt.

Yes we need new homes but please do not turn this piece of countryside into another Brough. 100-200 homes is sufficient.
