I believe that a leader /President of any group / organisation should have the best interest of his WHOLE organisation at heart. Especially when representing your organisation in public. It is only natural that there might be conflict internally, but this should be handled internally. The president, when speaking in public, should always project a positive image of the total organisation and its members. If he is not able to do this, my opinion is that he should not be in that leadership role.

I am not a fed member, however i am a military working dog handler who has vast experience working with different breeds. My life has depended on these so called inferior dogs on numerous occasions. He made a huge mistake by publicly voicing his opinion of German Shepherds. For this, he should be made accountable and disciplinary action should be taken. Where are all the so called show breeders and owners signatures?
The man made a mistake and i've heard that he doesn't regret it. He wants his members to defend him. His members should not defend his article because they are just as guilty if they do. Interesting how people become so afraid of an individual.
If he doesn't like the Working/Sport line GSD then he should report the matter to the WUSV so that they can try and do something about it. Has this article been sent to the WUSV OR the SV for comment???

Interesting how those thrown out of the Federation for dishonesty and/or have many complaints from the public against them getting on this bandwagon. John Swartz aka K9man aka Canineman (3 signatures of one man), Combrink, Munsaur & his wife etc. How many other duplicate signatures?
Clear most signatures are not Fed members.

Presidents comments in a national mag totally
unacceptable ! it would be interesting to know if he has personally trained any dog in dog sport. He doesn't deem the fees that working dog owners pay to be inferior ! If breed dogs are so competent , then why don't we see them being titled and on the sports field . Also why did the standard have to be dropped to accomadate them ?

I totally disagree that the President of the GSD Fed miscredits in public puppies which have been bred according to Federation Standards, are Fed registered and have Fed pedigree papers. I was looking for a black German Shepherd and phoned the German Shepherd Federation to ask for telephone numbers of such breeders. They could not refer me to any such breeders. Luckily I came across a helpful breeder with regestered working dogs. I bought a gorgeous black dog from her and I am very happy with her temprament. She is a pet as well as a working dog and a big pleasure to us. She is 2 years and has accepted our newborn baby without any hassles. She completed her BH successfully and I'm just waiting for the baby to grow a little older before I'll enter her for a show. I think my dog as a well balanced dog and won't trade her for any show champion.

The federation and all members should be for the dog not the people. Does not matter if it is breed or sportline. Anybody who comments on the breed dog should not even sign the petition because you are also in the wrong......
Something to think about......
There should not be breed ego's and sportline ego's there should be German Sheppard ego's...... ALL FOR THE DOG. It is sad to see that if you are in the middle like myself that people on either side thinks they are better than the other. In conclusion the dog suffers from this because we can not agree on anything. Last thing something to remember IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY TO PROMOTE THE GERMAN SHEPPARD BREED OR SPORTLINE THEN RATHER KEEP IT FOR YOURSELVE.
