However, Tom can be very useful in mending computers and keeping people happy, especially me because if he was here, I wouldn't have to keep asking Harriet if she was ok.

Sam would also be a useful repatriation inasmuch as he's a nice guy who is useful for keeping Tom happy. That means that Tom can keep us happy if he is happy. And that means that everyone would be happy and as we all know, happinness makes the world go round!
