I feel it's unfair that I don't get right to buy. I feel a lot of people in housing association property have had just as much housing need and duty of care by the government yet are not being helped equally onto the property ladder and this is very unjust. Infact it is a monsterous breach of human equality.

So i hope some changes are made so that we are all treated equally. I feel somewhat discriminated against because i live in a housing association property. Please review the RTB scheme for housing association tenants.

Hhousing association tenants are being treated very unfairly and the government should rethink this scheme as it is penalizing housing association tenants who aspire to own their own home.

]]> Mon, 26 Nov 2012 04:02:35 UTC 14133379 https://www.gopetition.com/signature/locate/13628121?utm_medium=rss people in housing associations are finding rents going up to the level that it is difficult to take a low paid job if like me you lived in watford and you received the same discount as your neighbour who has protected right to buy my mortgage would be half of the rent that im paying i could then take a low paid job and take no housing benefit pay tax and release money to pay towards new housing.the gov would be better off i would be better off the housing industry would employ more builders more people off housing lists into affordable housing and able to afford to go back to work.i cannot see how this is not a win win situation the only opposition seems to be from people who dont live in house assoc and feel that we are getting something for nothing but as i said above the discount would help all of societey .Some housing ass leaders have said this cannot be done because of future lending requirements but i cannot see that with a little thoughtfull and constructive thinking this cannot be resolved it may have to be a different set up to the rtb as in percentages to make it work but i cannot see how they cant offer a discount on a flat of 150,000 in watford and still make a profit
