I did this willingly and knew I had no rights to her, legally. But yet, I failed to heed the warnings & made it a labor of love to raise her. She turned 7 last month. And I haven't seen her since we celebrated her 5th birthday. I was documented with the Broward County school board as a "parent" & was given the privelege of teaching, parenting & nurturing Kennedy for the time she was at home. The majority of the first three years were spent at home. Born Deaf & with an abnormal electrical charge in her heart, Kennedy had two major surgeries by the time she was 3 years old. Without continuing this in detail, I would not want any one to go through what I have. Yet, more importantly, I wish not on a single child, that they must endure the pain of losing a parent. In most cases, this goes without warning or proper mediation between the parents involved. There is no accountability for the biological parent to maintain the relationship for the sake of the child. Too many times which I have heard of & experienced first hand, the mom is held accountable by no one, for the relationship they ALLOWED for, in my case, five years.

He's been living with me now four yrs. He's five now.
