I'm bewildered why the Council won't commit to funding the Bullring, as stated it hosts a number of sporting clubs, most of whom are becoming quite reputable and competitive, take the Bulls for example Grandfinal appearance two seasons ago and then another good year after moving up into C grade, it's only logical that the next step is establishing a sporting complex, providing the extra necessary facilities that take teams to the next level, both on and off the field. Strongly for the Bullring!

Children and adults should feel safe and comfortable at a public place. Dogs off leads could potentially lead to accidents, and some people just dont agree with dogs. If a parent is not present while watching their child and their child happens to get injured then that would lead to more implications. Just put that dog on that lead you bought for it!

In order to avoid conflict and ill-feeling between some of the local sporting clubs and people who live in the area, I believe having restrictions on how and possible where pets can be exercised is an important step. This also improves the safety for the members training on the ground.

As a coach for the Quinns District A.F.C last year we had many issues with dog owners not cleaning up their pets feces because the pet had ran away to do so and the owner would just call the dog back to him and walk off. also the dogs are very large and players children are afraid when these dogs are brought right up to the playing group and spectators with no form of restraint.

I own two large breed dogs which I exercise at this oval. One is a white, desexed, American Bulldog, and the other is similar in appearance but is a 7 month old, Bull Mastiff/Arab Mastiff Cross. Neither dog is aggressive. However, as a considerate owner, when I walk them in public, they are on leads. What I'd also like to add is that I carry plastic bags in my pocket so that if they soil the Oval, I clean it up and dispose of it in the rubbish bin. It would be nice if others did the same.

This group of people who exercise their dogs regularly on Ridgewood oval have all sorts of dogs. 2 in particular are great danes, so the size of these dogs alone is enough to scare a child. i have always seen them without a leash running amok on the oval with the owners having no concept for other people. It doesn't just happen at ridgewood oval, dog owners every where seem to think that they can let their dog/s run wild without a leash. Public spaces, beaches etc.

Do not appreciate people putting their dog's and their own safety at risk by walking in front of athletes when they are trying to throw. Many of the people that walk their dogs lack respect for athletes that are trying to train down at Ridgewood oval for a range of sports and continue to let their dogs interrupt.
if people would like to use the oval to exercise their dogs they should use a lead and keep away from people training for various sports such as Athletics, Footy and cricket.

My children train at the oval, and there has been an instant where some dogs have actually peed on their water bottles which is very unhygenic. Also there have been dog poos on the field couple of times my children have come home with dog poo on there shoes. Due to that lack of respect for the joint use of the oval, and the inability of some people to control there dogs i believe that all dogs at Ridgewood oval should be on a leash. As outlined petition. For the safety of everyone. Also signage should be placed at the oval so that dog owners are aware of their responsibility to clean up after their dogs, as many seem unaware of this.
