Itchiness drove him to constantly groom area. Switched to another dry cat food and three days later already clearing up. Tried to alleviate with rx cream from vet which helped a little. Perfectly healthy 12 year old male cat up until this. Vet did suggest could be allergy, but wanted to wait to try oral steroids d/t side effects. Since steroids not a cure, researched Meow Mix Dry Cat Food and eliminated from diet. By the way, he and other male cat we own were vomiting food almost weekly. Sometimes more.
