1) Gay exclusion - declaring our gay brothers and sisters to be apostate has no basis in scripture or the teachings of Jesus. This policy was never put to a vote of the members of the church, and is not doctrinal.

2) Sexually explicit one-on-one interviews with children - this harmful policy, although it has been in place for decades, needs to end. It was also never put to a vote of the members of the church, and is not doctrinal. This policy allows for children to be groomed, whether intentionally or unintentionally, for future sexual abuse by adults. It also allows for overt abuse behind closed doors by pedophile bishops. The recent policy changes do almost nothing to protect children, because they put on the children the onus of requesting a second adult be present in the room.

I thought about his for... decades. How could our church be so neatly hierarchical and communal at the same time? Was it a divine miracle in His perfect church? I tried so hard to understand it.

Then I realized that... it can't. It is a Goliathan hierarchy thinly veiled as a democratic community. Nothing more than Orwellian double speak at its most blatant. Slick gaslighting the sheeple. And I bought it, for years. Until my rational mind took over. Until things were happening in the church that were deeply disturbing over which my opposed vote/voice meant nothing... at least, subversive at most.

This reminds me of communist countries who say they have free elections but there is only one candidate on the ballot. And citizens are "free" to vote for that candidate.

I don't believe that this is what Heavenly Father intended for His church. From a young age, I was taught to listen to the Spirit. Well, I am listening, hard. And the Spirit reveals to me (we do still believe in personal revelation, don't we?) that my community of Christ has gone very off track. The still small voice whispers this to me. So, I must make my vote now. I. AM. OPPOSED. I know that my vote does not make me an enemy to my God. I hope it does not make me an enemy to my church.

I was asked about orgasm, when, Where, number of times, guilt or no guilt. The same questions about the other person without them there.

I am still disturbed & humiliated because after talking with a specific bishop he would ask if "things were getting better" or if I was seeing so & so still.. in youth meetings or in the hall or at ward parties..even girls camp.

I definitely agree that there needs to be a third party in the room of same sex for women at the least to ensure safety & advocating rights for the possibly vulnerable person. I don't however completely agree with parents being in the room at the same time if person requests otherwise. That can be just as humiliating.
