Why should the Army not accept my choice to love those of the same sex.
God loves EVERYONE equally, so why shouldn't the Salvation Army? It is 2013, and a time for change to balancing the world we live in.
God made us all equal, so why as humans are we still trying to divide the world? The love of same sex relationships is no less than that of opposite sex relationships. For LOVE is LOVE, it does not come in degrees, it comes from a good heart. And is something which we should share with All Sentient Beings.
NB: Marriage is not a tool of procreation. It is simply a piece of paper between two people to say they wish to love each other for life. Many marriages never have children, and yet they are still a marriage. So how would a same sex relationship be any different?
If the Salvation Army are to survive into the future, it must STOP pushing people away. And so will be very wise to change it's Positional Statement, and the sooner the better.
