However I believe that England should stand together and thank God for our country and, respectfully, not for our ruler. Yes we should ask for God's protection for her and the royal family, even in this day and age, but most of the national anthems of the new world are for the country, for the land. When I travel, and people ask me to sing our national anthem for them, I want to be able to sing something that I am proud of. My family, my country, my Britain.
