Despite Protection Orders being in place for 3 years, the DV was ignored and the father was given shared care. The father continues to breach all orders and is not doing what is in the best interests of the children. The court system has let us down on all levels to the extent that it is has cost the children and I financially and emotionally, and it has become a complicated case with no end in sight after 4 years. This should have been a simple case, but my story with facts and figures was ignored (I was self represented) and the father's unsupported claims and character assassination on me (with representation) have reappeared throughout the Judgments. The father now does not have control over me, so there is manipulation through the children. The Protection Order expired and now the father has claimed one child is in physical and psychological harm in my care, so I am heading to lose both teenagers to the abusive and non caring father ... destroying the life of 2 wonderful teenagers!

Head held high and a compelling drive "To see this to the end"!
Justice is only met when a judge uses their innate ability to see the truth. Only then, will these fragile children thrown into judicial war,
know they have been released and heard. Children tell a more truthful story when threat and discord are removed. We can learn so much more if we get down to the level of a 5 year old child and ask them to share a game of charades to tell us how they really feel about the lives they have been living?

Instead there are countless women and children who escape from Family Violence situations- only to find that the Family Courts will award the perpetrators unsupervised contact or residence of the children. They are subjected to physical, emotional and many to sexual abuse. The trauma inflicted will last a lifetime, and our society will ultimately pay the cost. Because what we do to our children they do to the world.

The damage being done will have long term effects on the child's health physically and mentally, as well as their ability to have healthy relationships in the future.
