It is the owners responsibility to ensure this does not happen again. That means DO SOMETHING! For example, keep them on a chain or fenced in, underground fence/shock collars, muzzle, beware of dog signs is not enough. If the dogs attack again they should be put to sleep. Is that not the law? As the post said, next time it could be a child! Even though to me it makes no difference ... human or animal. I couldn't imagine one of my 5-10lb dogs getting attacked. OWNER please do something without being forced! (basic respect)

Barney is home now, but he is very weak, and the way he looks is absolutely heartbreaking. my 4 year old daughter was just outside playing in her sand box, & ran up to me asking "Mommy, Those mean dogs are gonna get me." words cannot express the difference of emotions i have been feeling, since the vicious attack.
