Songwriter Petition to Congress: Pass the Music Modernization Act

Dear Members of the United States Congress:

Songwriters are egregiously underpaid because laws governing the music industry have not kept pace with technology. The Music Modernization Act of 2017 will change that. This bill is the most significant update to music copyright law in over a generation and represents an unprecedented agreement between the music and technology industries. We, as the songwriters most affected by 100-year-old policies that reduce our royalties, encourage Congress to pass this legislation as soon as possible.

The Music Modernization Act is a bipartisan effort that will greatly improve the way mechanical and performance royalties are calculated. Today, digital services like Spotify, Apple, Pandora, Amazon and Google often do not know who to pay and money is lost to lack of information and inefficiency. The Music Modernization Act will create an entity, funded by the digital music companies, that will properly pay mechanical royalties for interactive streaming. It also gives songwriters a better shot at getting higher royalty rates in the Copyright Royalty Board proceedings. Additionally, it reforms the system that determines performance royalty rates for ASCAP and BMI by allowing rate courts to review market evidence into the valuation of how songwriters are compensated as well as giving them improvements to the rate court process.

When passed, this bill will be the biggest achievement that music creators have seen in the Digital Age. Unfortunately, there are many hurdles to face before this bill becomes law, which is why we songwriters are coming together to make our voices – which are so often behind the music – heard.

This bill is supported by the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA), the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), the Songwriters of North America (SONA), the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI), the Church Music Publishers’ Association (CMPA), the Production Music Association (PMA), MusicAnswers, the Music Publishers Association (MPA), the Council of Music Creators (CMC), the Society of Composers and Lyricists (SCL) and the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP). The bill is also supported by the Digital Media Association (DiMA) which represents Amazon, Apple, Pandora, Spotify and YouTube.

The next time you hear your favorite song, think of the struggling small business owner who wrote it, and remember that you can do something to help by supporting the Music Modernization Act.

Sincerely,

I'm So Sorry video

(I'm from Russia, so my English isn't very good. Sorry. Hope there isn't too many mistakes.)
"I'm So Sorry" is one of my (and not only my) favorite songs, and I think that song like it should have a video. I sometimes see comments like "Why didn't ID make I'm So Sorry music video?", so I decided to make a petition. I'm afraid that it won't make a difference, but everything is possible.

Make bomb concerts and music concerts fun, larger than life and mega entertaining again like the old schools concerts were back in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s!!

Okay everybody, this is a petition to make music concerts and bomb concerts fun, exciting, larger than life, passionate,, sold out, mega fired up and super old school talented again like concerts used to be back in the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s when concerts were out of this world and their were larger than life, in the high ratings, when they were talked about on the news and at special events, when they were had the highest viewership, when concerts had the greatest bands and artists of all time performing, when special surprises and treats happened during the old school concerts, when concerts had the biggest magical moments during the concerts and at the end of concerts and so much more!

Because music concerts have been beyond boring and watered down over the last 10 years since 2007 and concerts have lost all their magic and passionate excitement with all these beyond stale and shitty modern day rap and pop untalented artists such as katy perry, justin bieber, lady gaga, rihanna, beyonce, one direction, nicki minaj, ariana grande, miley cyrus, kesha, taylor swift, chris brown, bruno mars, kanye west, drake, lil wayne and all these outdated and untalented stale shitty artists of today. They can't perform live anywhere near as good as Michael Jackson, old school madonna, whitney houston, nirvana, alice in chains, slayer, nsync, backstreet boys, Tiffany Darwish, Eminem, the spice girls, prince, pat benatar, old school Britney Spears, Staind, Keane, Van Halen, Puddle Of Mudd, Aaliyah, Blaque, Celine Dion, Green Day, Linkin Park, P.O.D. and all the greatest old school bands and artists could and did back in the old school days!

They all put on the biggest, greatest and highest quality of sold out concerts in arenas and stadiums with the most fired up fans, the most fan attendances, the greatest and biggest moments and events, the most treats and surprises, the most fired up and loudest fan reactions, the most real talent, the most viewership, the highest ratings, the most heartwarming songs, the longest concerts, the biggest and loudest colorful fireworks and pyro on stage and much more back in the old school days. And they were talked about of the news, on VH1 and MTV, on the internet, in public worldwide, at malls, at schools and colleges and all the etc. Basically, the old school concerts were the golden age of music concerts and bomb concerts during the biggest boom period when concerts were in their prime and when they were the greatest and biggest of all time!

Today's shitty and beyond boring concerts and super bowl halftime performances in the 2010s don't even come close to being as good as the original old school bomb concerts, super bowl halftime performances and music concerts. And today's concerts and super bowl halftime performances won't ever be better than the old school concerts and NFL super bowl halftime performances either. All modern day concerts and halftime shows today are a big steaming pile of shit! And that's why me and all the real old school music fans and people with good taste like me all want concerts to go back to being mega exciting, high quality, sold out with real good taste fans, larger than life, fun, cherishing, magical and passionate, super talented, more popular worldwide than today's concerts and artists are, real artists and rock bands who can actually sing and perform excellent live and put on five star rated platinum concerts and much more like all the original old school bands and artists could and did back in the day.

Because Imo, the problems I have with modern concerts today and why they're so boring and not fun to go to anymore is that there's no star power and excitement in concerts anymore. And there's no more timeless moments, surprises and iconic legendary artists and bands who can sing and perform good and excite the fans and get them fired up and singing along to the songs no more. You see, back in the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s (from 2000-2005), we had the biggest, loudest and most exciting bomb concerts and super bowl performances with the greatest legendary artists live on stage who knew how to really, really sing good, who could play instruments and sing very good, some boy bands and girl groups like NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls and B* Witched who could all dance excellently and sing at the same time live, very good rock bands who could sing and play live well and tons of iconic solo artists who could sing perfectly good on the microphone along with their songs playing lightning loud live on stage in the speakers.

And they would all walk off the stage and walk up to all their fans in the audience and shake hands with them, give them hugs and let the fans sing along with them on stage when the singers were walking to some of their fans in the stadiums. Take Michael Jackson for instance. He was the biggest and greatest solo artist and live performer on stage in the 80s and 90s in Japan, Australia, London, Los Angeles, CA, Mexico, Ireland and many other countries and U.S. States live on stage during his bomb concerts during his Bad tour, his Dangerous tour and his History tour! He had the most fans at all his bomb concerts and he got the biggest, loudest and most fired up reactions from all his millions and millions of fans at his concerts during his tours. They were all fired up and excited and they all sang along to MJ's songs and they were all there with him in the public getting autographs and more! Now he's in Heaven with God. R.I.P Michael Jackson (1958-2009). We'll see you in the clouds someday pop king.

And Madonna is another legendary female solo artist who has many great old school songs and she was also one of the best live performers too. She could sing perfectly live on stage during her big concerts and she could also dance good and she brought excitement to her fans too and they also sang along with her to her songs! NSYNC were also one of the best live performers in the late 90s and early 2000s with some of their songs, Bye Bye Bye, Tearing Up My Heart, Pop and It's Gonna Be Me they performed live on stage during their bomb concerts in huge stadiums during their tours in 1998 and 2000! They had like 1.2 million real hot teenage girls who were actually real fans and who were screaming loud in front of NSYNC live on stage and in public. Unlike beliebers and directioners today, NSYNC fan girls from 1998-2002 actually appreciated NSYNC and music, and they were kindhearted and loving too! And that's why I love old school concerts and why I miss them!

Today in 2017, concerts are now so boring and watered down and there're no surprises and timeless moments in modern concerts of today no more. Today's pop and rap artists such as (again) Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, One Direction, Kesha, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Lil Wayne, Drake, Omi and Kayne west all can't do shit and they absolutely can't perform and sing live on stage at all! And they can't perform for shit at the super bowl either and that's why Katy Perry's super bowl performance at super bowl 49 last year in 2015 was a huge flop and got low ratings and lost a shit load of money. They have no talent, no singing abilities, can't play instruments, rely on autotune only, have no memorable and timeless songs, don't look like real huge stars and legends, they aren't championship material looking like the old school artists are, they never walk to their fans on the stadium floor and sing along with their fans and they sound horrible and bad on stage. And that's why the fans today are so bored and fall asleep during today's concerts. It's because they're no huge star power, no iconic artists who can sing perfectly, no real iconic artists who are championship material looking and who look like huge stars, no more timeless moments and surprises during concerts, no more great colorful lights and stage quality and no more loud speakers as loud as San Francisco, CA clubs or louder! It's just today's watered down and stale boring concerts today by today's untalented shitty artists who can't do shit at all since 2010!

So to make bomb concerts fun and larger than life again, the music industry and FCC are going to have to start promoting real talented and timeless songs and hits again and start making real legendary new artists and bands again with timeless songs who can all perform and sing good at the same time, who can play instruments and sing good at the same time, who can dance and sing at the same time and who can all entertain the fans and get them fired up and singing along with the artists and their songs again like the old school artists did during their bomb concerts back in the old school days. And have the new iconic artists walk to their fans on the stadium floor and shake hands with them, hug them and sing along with them like the old school artists always did. And finally, have surprises and timeless moments during the concerts and when they're over with excellent colorful lights and stage quality again! And have speakers louder than lightning and let fans go up on stage and sing along with the artists and dance with them on stage towards the end of the concerts when they're almost over and have tons of balloons, confetti and cool things raining down and coming down from the roof on stage while the fans and artists are on stage with other iconic artists right before the concerts are over like ATC (A Touch Of Class) did during their concert at the Dome 15 while performing "All Around The World Lalalalala" live back in 2000! That my friends will make all future bomb concerts in all future generations fun, exciting and larger than life every year again.

And that's the way we want future all music concerts and bomb concerts to be again like they were from 1980-2006 when they were the biggest and greatest of all time; and when they were broadcasted, shown and talked about on the news, on VH1, on MTV, on the NBA, on the NFL, on soccer game events, in public at the malls, at other great events and all the etc. That way, bomb concerts and music concerts will be sold out in arenas, stadiums and in other huge places with 40,000 to 50,000 people in attendance and with 70,000 to 100,000 plus people and fired up fans in attendance! That there will make concerts successful and fun again; and they'll start another boom period and bring the 80s, 90s and early 2000s back again. So please sign this petition so we can make concerts fun and great again! Thank you very much and big love.

Bring back all the original Celtic Woman members for a reunion and one more world tour

For all you Celtic Woman fans like me, do any of you miss the original Celtic Woman from (2004-2009)? I sure do because to me, Celtic Woman were in their prime and they were the greatest of all time when we had all the real original members Méav Ní Mhaolchatha, Orla Fallon, Lisa Kelly, Chloe Agnew, Hayley Westerna, Deidre Shannon, Alex Sharpe and Lynn Hilary all in Celtic Woman in Celtic Woman: Manhattan (2004), Celtic Woman: A New Journey (2006), Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration (2007) and Celtic Woman: Songs From The Heart (2009). Meav and all the old members had the most beautiful and angelic singing voices and they had the sweetest angel presence when they sang live on stage in the biggest and best stadiums and indoor arenas/buildings with the highest stage quality and pure talent.

A New Journey imo is their best live performance and their best CD album and DVD. And A Christmas Celebration imo is their second best live performance and their second best CD album and DVD. When Meav sang "The Wexford Carol" and Orla sang "Away In A Manger" in A Christmas Celebration in (2007), it took my heart away and put me in tears. And when they all sang "O Holy Night" together with all the backup choir singers, I was in more heavy tears and I felt like I was in heaven soaring in the clouds and so did all the millions of former fans back then! And when Hayley Sang "Scarborough Fair" and Chloe sang "The prayer" in A New Journey in 2006, they to took my heart away and filled me with their angelic presence. And when they all sang "Beyond The Sea" (my favorite celtic woman song) together in A New Journey, it put me in heavy tears of joy, it took my breath and heart away and it made me feel like I was in the magical world in Final Fantasy 10. And Meav, Chloe, Orla and Lisa also put me in tears when they sang one of their most beautiful and angelic songs "One World" and when Chloe sang "Someday" and Lisa sang 'May It Be" and when they sang "The Soft Goodbye" in their first performance in (2004). They also sang many beautiful songs in Songs From The Heart in (2009) as well! The song "Send Me A Song" sung by Lisa Kelly in Celtic Woman (2004) also put me in tears of happiness and it also took my heart away too.

And that's the Celtic Woman I want back again and all the tons of former Celtic Woman fans want back again too with all the original past members and all the backup choir singers in all the original stadiums and theater arenas so that it will actually BE Celtic Woman again. Because the honest truth is that the new girls in Celtic Woman: Destiny (2016) and Celtic Woman: Voices Of Angels (2017) just cannot give us the classic feel and the same angelic presence and sweet sensation that meav, orla and all the old members gave us in the old celtic woman from (2004-2009). And the new girls also can't sing as good as the original members could and did either. And now today, Celtic Woman are absolutely watered down and boring with their modern day dance songs, pop songs and these new fast folk style songs. Most of them are not even traditional gaelic irish songs and celtic heritage songs. And the new stadium is beyond boring, too dark, way too small and way too crowded. The new musicians also can't play to save their lives either!

And I don't know about any of you, but to me, Celtic Woman are not the same anymore. That's why I lost interest in them after (2009).

You see, I've been a Celtic Woman fan my whole life since the original celtic woman first came out in (2004) and through A New Journey (2006), A Christmas Celebration (2007) and up until Songs From The Heart (2009) which IMO was their last good Celtic Woman performance, DVD and album. After that, I was done with Celtic Woman as soon as they got to Believe (2011) because that's when I noticed and saw Celtic Woman were going downhill with these new pop songs and modern dance style songs.

I watched Believe and Destiny one time and after that, I just couldn't watch CW or listen to them no more. Because I've been watching CW and listening to them for years and I got to tell you, Celtic woman are just not the same no more, they really aren't. You have these new girls Susan McFadden, Ebha McMahon and Mairaid Carlin who cannot perform and sing quite as good as Orla Fallon, Hayley Westerna, Meav Ni Mhaolchatha, Chloe Agnew and all the original old members could and did!

The most memorable, cherishing, heartwarming, angelic and lovable period of Celtic woman was when Meav Ni Mhaolchatha, Orla Fallon, Lisa Kelly, Chloe Agnew, Hayley Westerna, Alex Sharpe, Lynn Hilary and Dedre Shannon were all in CW with Meav in the old CW. Everyone always preferred and loved the traditional Celtic heritage songs and soft angel gaelic Celtic songs with backup choir singers strongly, slowly and gracefully shown and sang by Meav, Orla and all the original former members in the old CW like in Celtic Woman: Manhattan (2004), Celtic Woman: A New Journey (2006), Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration (2007) and Celtic Woman: Songs From The Heart (2009) in the old Celtic woman!

Nowadays, the new CW lost all of that sweet passion and magic with all these pop songs, fast folk style songs and dance modern type songs and with no backup choir singers and original musicians anymore. So as artists, I respect the new girls, but after all the old members left, I quickly lost interest in CW. Same with Celtic Thunder. I also only watch and listen to Celtic Thunder on my CDs and DVDs from Celtic Thunder: The Show (2008) through Celtic Thunder: Legacy (2016). After that, I was also done with Celtic Thunder after all the best original members left, the new good members left and after the greatest member and lead singer George Donaldson died from a heart attack at the age of 46 on (3/14/2014). Now back to Celtic Woman. I hope we get to see Orla, Meav and all the old members reunite in CW one more time for one last Reunion world tour and a few more DVDs and CD albums together soon before CW are done for good! That's what I mean and what I'm saying.

So me and us millions of former celtic woman fans would like a celtic woman reunion with meav, orla, chloe, Hayley, lisa kelly, dedree, alex, lynn and possibly lisa lambe too all back in celtic woman for one last world tour together, a few more live broadway concerts with the backup choir singers, and a few more dvds and cds before they all go their separate ways and before celtic woman are done for good! And on second thought, let's actually add lisa lambe back in celtic woman with the original former members too since lisa lambe was/is actually very, very good and heartwarming too. I'd love to see them perform at slane castle again, at the helix theater again, and maybe perform at General Mortors Palace in Canada and at some sold out soccer stadiums and NFL football stadiums in the USA, in Asia and in Europe. And I hope to see them perform at the point theater too where Michael Flatley and "Lord Of The Dance" performed at in Dublin, Ireland in (1996). But if they do perform there, please change the point theater back to its original format and back to the way it was from (1988-2007) on both the inside and outside of the stadium because that's when it was the best and looked the best! That way, we'll have something to remember celtic woman and all the old members by and maybe, the new girls can sing and perform with them too.

So if you'd like to see celtic woman reunite with all the original members, please sign this petition to try to get them all back in CW for one more reunion and world tour, and for a few more concerts and a few more albums and dvds!

You see how different, unoriginal and watered down the new CW girls sound compared to the old members in the old CW?

That's why me and all the real past fans would like the original celtic woman back one more time: So let's make it happen, shall we?

And news flash update: I did actually buy celtic woman: believe on cd and dvd a week ago and I do watch "believe" and I listen to "believe" only because "believe" is the very last celtic woman performance, dvd and cd album to have two of my favorite past members lisa kelly and chloe agnew in "believe" and so I decided to get "believe" out of love for lisa and chloe. And although "Believe" is not my favorite celtic woman performance, dvd and cd album, I still decided to buy it because I love lisa kelly and chloe agnew so much! But "destiny" and "voices of angels" are the ones I don't have on dvd and cd at all because the news songs and the new girls are too boring if you ask me. Just saying.

Harrison Craig 4 Eurovision AU

This year, the Eurovision Song Contest celebrates its 60th anniversary. To give the anniversary celebrations an extra dimension and to walk the talk on this year’s theme Building Bridges, the EBU and host broadcaster ORF invited Australia to compete in the Grand Final of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.

We are petitioning SBS to send Harrison Craig to represent Australia as he IS the Voice of Australia. Here is a little background information on Harrison.

Harrison, born the 7th of September 1994 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, had to overcome challenges that would stop many people in their tracks, but growing up without his father, and becoming the man of the house at a young age has in his words, “made me the person I am today, and I am grateful for that.”

On top of rising above family responsibilities, Harrison had to deal with a severe stutter, which he has had since he began to talk. This courageous artist began to feel peace when he realized he could sing without stuttering. Singing has always been a place of contentment for Harrison, and it’s no wonder he dedicated himself to crafting and developing his now distinct and incredible voice in his own unique style he calls "popra".

In true testament to his character, his defining quote from his time on The Voice AU was related to his discussion with Coach Seal regarding his original song, ‘More Than A Dream’. Harrison said, “No matter whether you grew up without a father, you were bullied at school, or you can’t speak, you never stop.”

Harrison’s vocal development began when he joined the Victorian Boys Choir in 2005, he soon thereafter became a vocal lead in Garage Band High (comprised of some of the most talented teenage musicians in Australia), and with the help of his private singing instructor, David Jaanz, he continued to refine his vocal ability until he was ready to debut it for the world in 2013 on The Voice Australia. Of his experience on The Voice and his future, Harrison said, “I feel like I am coming home. It’s going to be amazing.”
