Bring back all the original Celtic Woman members for a reunion and one more world tour

For all you Celtic Woman fans like me, do any of you miss the original Celtic Woman from (2004-2009)? I sure do because to me, Celtic Woman were in their prime and they were the greatest of all time when we had all the real original members Méav Ní Mhaolchatha, Orla Fallon, Lisa Kelly, Chloe Agnew, Hayley Westerna, Deidre Shannon, Alex Sharpe and Lynn Hilary all in Celtic Woman in Celtic Woman: Manhattan (2004), Celtic Woman: A New Journey (2006), Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration (2007) and Celtic Woman: Songs From The Heart (2009). Meav and all the old members had the most beautiful and angelic singing voices and they had the sweetest angel presence when they sang live on stage in the biggest and best stadiums and indoor arenas/buildings with the highest stage quality and pure talent.

A New Journey imo is their best live performance and their best CD album and DVD. And A Christmas Celebration imo is their second best live performance and their second best CD album and DVD. When Meav sang "The Wexford Carol" and Orla sang "Away In A Manger" in A Christmas Celebration in (2007), it took my heart away and put me in tears. And when they all sang "O Holy Night" together with all the backup choir singers, I was in more heavy tears and I felt like I was in heaven soaring in the clouds and so did all the millions of former fans back then! And when Hayley Sang "Scarborough Fair" and Chloe sang "The prayer" in A New Journey in 2006, they to took my heart away and filled me with their angelic presence. And when they all sang "Beyond The Sea" (my favorite celtic woman song) together in A New Journey, it put me in heavy tears of joy, it took my breath and heart away and it made me feel like I was in the magical world in Final Fantasy 10. And Meav, Chloe, Orla and Lisa also put me in tears when they sang one of their most beautiful and angelic songs "One World" and when Chloe sang "Someday" and Lisa sang 'May It Be" and when they sang "The Soft Goodbye" in their first performance in (2004). They also sang many beautiful songs in Songs From The Heart in (2009) as well! The song "Send Me A Song" sung by Lisa Kelly in Celtic Woman (2004) also put me in tears of happiness and it also took my heart away too.

And that's the Celtic Woman I want back again and all the tons of former Celtic Woman fans want back again too with all the original past members and all the backup choir singers in all the original stadiums and theater arenas so that it will actually BE Celtic Woman again. Because the honest truth is that the new girls in Celtic Woman: Destiny (2016) and Celtic Woman: Voices Of Angels (2017) just cannot give us the classic feel and the same angelic presence and sweet sensation that meav, orla and all the old members gave us in the old celtic woman from (2004-2009). And the new girls also can't sing as good as the original members could and did either. And now today, Celtic Woman are absolutely watered down and boring with their modern day dance songs, pop songs and these new fast folk style songs. Most of them are not even traditional gaelic irish songs and celtic heritage songs. And the new stadium is beyond boring, too dark, way too small and way too crowded. The new musicians also can't play to save their lives either!

And I don't know about any of you, but to me, Celtic Woman are not the same anymore. That's why I lost interest in them after (2009).

You see, I've been a Celtic Woman fan my whole life since the original celtic woman first came out in (2004) and through A New Journey (2006), A Christmas Celebration (2007) and up until Songs From The Heart (2009) which IMO was their last good Celtic Woman performance, DVD and album. After that, I was done with Celtic Woman as soon as they got to Believe (2011) because that's when I noticed and saw Celtic Woman were going downhill with these new pop songs and modern dance style songs.

I watched Believe and Destiny one time and after that, I just couldn't watch CW or listen to them no more. Because I've been watching CW and listening to them for years and I got to tell you, Celtic woman are just not the same no more, they really aren't. You have these new girls Susan McFadden, Ebha McMahon and Mairaid Carlin who cannot perform and sing quite as good as Orla Fallon, Hayley Westerna, Meav Ni Mhaolchatha, Chloe Agnew and all the original old members could and did!

The most memorable, cherishing, heartwarming, angelic and lovable period of Celtic woman was when Meav Ni Mhaolchatha, Orla Fallon, Lisa Kelly, Chloe Agnew, Hayley Westerna, Alex Sharpe, Lynn Hilary and Dedre Shannon were all in CW with Meav in the old CW. Everyone always preferred and loved the traditional Celtic heritage songs and soft angel gaelic Celtic songs with backup choir singers strongly, slowly and gracefully shown and sang by Meav, Orla and all the original former members in the old CW like in Celtic Woman: Manhattan (2004), Celtic Woman: A New Journey (2006), Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration (2007) and Celtic Woman: Songs From The Heart (2009) in the old Celtic woman!

Nowadays, the new CW lost all of that sweet passion and magic with all these pop songs, fast folk style songs and dance modern type songs and with no backup choir singers and original musicians anymore. So as artists, I respect the new girls, but after all the old members left, I quickly lost interest in CW. Same with Celtic Thunder. I also only watch and listen to Celtic Thunder on my CDs and DVDs from Celtic Thunder: The Show (2008) through Celtic Thunder: Legacy (2016). After that, I was also done with Celtic Thunder after all the best original members left, the new good members left and after the greatest member and lead singer George Donaldson died from a heart attack at the age of 46 on (3/14/2014). Now back to Celtic Woman. I hope we get to see Orla, Meav and all the old members reunite in CW one more time for one last Reunion world tour and a few more DVDs and CD albums together soon before CW are done for good! That's what I mean and what I'm saying.

So me and us millions of former celtic woman fans would like a celtic woman reunion with meav, orla, chloe, Hayley, lisa kelly, dedree, alex, lynn and possibly lisa lambe too all back in celtic woman for one last world tour together, a few more live broadway concerts with the backup choir singers, and a few more dvds and cds before they all go their separate ways and before celtic woman are done for good! And on second thought, let's actually add lisa lambe back in celtic woman with the original former members too since lisa lambe was/is actually very, very good and heartwarming too. I'd love to see them perform at slane castle again, at the helix theater again, and maybe perform at General Mortors Palace in Canada and at some sold out soccer stadiums and NFL football stadiums in the USA, in Asia and in Europe. And I hope to see them perform at the point theater too where Michael Flatley and "Lord Of The Dance" performed at in Dublin, Ireland in (1996). But if they do perform there, please change the point theater back to its original format and back to the way it was from (1988-2007) on both the inside and outside of the stadium because that's when it was the best and looked the best! That way, we'll have something to remember celtic woman and all the old members by and maybe, the new girls can sing and perform with them too.

So if you'd like to see celtic woman reunite with all the original members, please sign this petition to try to get them all back in CW for one more reunion and world tour, and for a few more concerts and a few more albums and dvds!

You see how different, unoriginal and watered down the new CW girls sound compared to the old members in the old CW?

That's why me and all the real past fans would like the original celtic woman back one more time: So let's make it happen, shall we?

And news flash update: I did actually buy celtic woman: believe on cd and dvd a week ago and I do watch "believe" and I listen to "believe" only because "believe" is the very last celtic woman performance, dvd and cd album to have two of my favorite past members lisa kelly and chloe agnew in "believe" and so I decided to get "believe" out of love for lisa and chloe. And although "Believe" is not my favorite celtic woman performance, dvd and cd album, I still decided to buy it because I love lisa kelly and chloe agnew so much! But "destiny" and "voices of angels" are the ones I don't have on dvd and cd at all because the news songs and the new girls are too boring if you ask me. Just saying.

Reasonable accommodations can be made available to students with dyslexia when sitting State examinations.

The accommodations are intended to limit the impact of the candidate’s disability on their exam performance, while not giving the candidate any unfair advantage.

Where approval for an accommodation is approved for Junior Certificate, it does not automatically follow that approval will be granted for Leaving Certificate. A fresh application is required in respect of the Leaving Certificate. The application is submitted by the school in May of 5th year. The application is submitted by the school, with the consent of the parent and student. The final decision is made by the State Examinations Commissions.

On May 27th more than 80 students with dyslexia or other learning disabilities were awarded ‘reader’ help or other special accommodation for the Leaving Certificate exams following a review of the refusals of 400 applications for assistance. The starting date for leaving cert 2016 is 8/6/16.

Students should be given the results of their applications as early as possible in order to reduce the stress and upset a refusal can cause, the reasons for the refusal should be laid out clearly and the appeals process should not be still ongoing this close to the exams.

The knock-on effect of this review is that the applications for next year have been deferred to September. I do not want next year's leaving cert students or any future leaving cert students to be subjected to this unfair treatment which is why I am starting this petition.

Support Home Disability Adaption for Jack Lynam

We are petitioning to Dublin City Council with a desperate plea to have your department review an application for an urgent home adaption required for my father Jack Lynam. Presently your department inform us the required downstairs extension will not be approved for construction until at least 2017.

Please refer to original Occupational Therapist report where they, in detail, describe the necessary adaptions required for my fathers disability. You will see they specifically state The provision of a stair lift and adaptations to existing bathroom will not suffice as same will require him to complete several slide transfers from wheelchair to stair lift back to wheelchair. This interim measure your department are recommending is in no way a safe and complete adaption for my father to carry out the most basic day to day human right, to use a toilet.

Apart from the high risk he is at alone, in carrying out the multi transfer manoeuvres required to just get him to the landing, the bathroom itself is not wheelchair friendly. It is firstly too small to allow necessary movement and positioning of the wheelchair so as to transfer onto a toilet, which secondly is not designed for a person with a disability such as my fathers. And thirdly, there is no safe way for him to have a shower, as a bath tub with no safe access for a double amputee is in place. So I am sure you can appreciate where our genuine concerns for my fathers wellbeing lie, especially after all he has been through in the past year. The same way I can appreciate financial constraints have your departments hands tied, as is the case for everyone these days. But regardless of these financially difficult times we are all going through, this remains an issue needing an urgent and sufficient solution.

So, what I propose is how about meeting with me to try and come together and find a way to achieve what is required? I am a registered electrical contractor by profession. So, I can take that element of work off the Councils costs and carry out general interior works like, tiling, painting etc. at my own cost. I am desperate to have these necessary measures carried out and again, I urgently appeal for you to please review this application under the knowledge I can help in reducing Dublin City Councils overall costs.

Please look beyond a paper application and see the family who have worked hard and honestly all their life, simply needing the necessary help.

Regards,
Jonathan Lynam.

Postpone the Introduction of Carbon Tax (Phase II) on Solid Fuel

Carbon tax has added €1.20 to the price of a bag (40kg) of Coal and €0.26 to a bale of Peat Briquettes in 2013.

This year, government plans to double this charge to €2.40 on a bag (40kg) of Coal and €0.52 on a bale of Peat Briquettes.

These taxes hit the poorest in our society hardest, because they depend most on solid fuel for winter warmth.

It is an established fact that over 20% of Irish households are officially suffering fuel poverty.

Petition for a space for a student-run bicycle workspace in NUI Galway

Since September 2010 a number of cyclists and members of the NUI Galway Ecosoc have been discussing providing a student-run bicycle workshop on campus.

If provided with a space, we have a range of experienced bicycle mechanics who would have regular free bicycle workshops to provide students and staff with bike maintenance education and provide a workspace with all of the necessary tools and facilities to custom build bikes with supervision and advice working on a volunteer basis. From the outset there was string support from students and staff to the idea.

The hope was that the university would be as supportive for an initiative which would;

1. reduce the environmental impact of NUIG,

2. reduce traffic and parking issues within the uni.,

3. be an educational and social amenity for all of the students and staff of NUIG..

4. alleviate some of the costs of repair and maintenance for cyclists,

these are some of a long list of benefits of similar projects.

We have only asked the college for a space to for the workshop and in an email (dated 17-nov-10) stated "We would not need anything of particular beauty it would be a workshop, the main requirements would be an open space with a locker to secure tools in (i.e. http://www.bikekitchen.org/photos/650Florida1.jpg). The tools, workbenches and bike stands we have access to ourselves."

The response to our requests were met with a simple "Unfortunately, we cannot dedicate a space at this time to Ecosoc for this purpose." Later we were told that the 'Space Managment Group' were of the opinion that there would not be sufficient demand to allocate a space.

This petition is on behalf of cyclists in NUIG to say that say you need not only look at the quantity of bikes in the uni. each week to recognise that we would be used by and of benefit to hundreds if not thousands of people!

(Please input your student/staff number after your name.)

Eating Disorder Awareness In Irish Schools

In Irish schools eating disorders are rampant and nothing is being done about it.

Children at primary school age are falling prey to the sick perversion of the media and society in genaral which projects an image of thinness on the verge of emaciation and associates it with success and beauty. Weight loss is always rewarded and plastic surgery is a regular occurance.

We live in an image obsessed culture and its gonna be the children of the future that'll pay for it. I myself am a 14 year old Irish student who suffers from an eating disorder and have many friends with eating disorders. A friend of mine was in fact bulimic when we were in 4th, 5th and 6th class in primary.

Eating Disorders are deadly awful diseases and awareness needs to be raised to help school children to understand and prevent them. Thank you for your time and please sign.
