#Local Government
Target:
Daventry District Council
Region:
United Kingdom

The council has a long history of mismanagement, muddle and money-wasting. It let the publicly-financed open-air pool become unusable and replaced it with a car park. It closed the Moot Hall musem and "mothballed" important local artefacts. It has gambled with £8 million of taxpayers' money in Iceland, and totally lost a large portion of it.

The council is obsessed with cutting local services to ordinary people and giving every possible assistance to greedy developers.

We believe that quality local services, putting vulnerable people first, should be the council's priority, and should be given priority before travel pods, canal arms and other grandiose schemes.

We do not want Daventry to be swamped by thousands of unaffordable houses, designed to enrich bankers and property speculators.
