We Count 2000; demand our transit services back and to have input on future changes

A Citizens’ Advocacy Group representing those individuals who are directly affected by the Transit Changes and those who are concerned with the affects it will have on all communities.
Along with cuts to the ferry service there have been many changes implemented to existing bus schedules as of August 27, 2012. Due to these changes the HRM has not only denied available access to necessary services including medical, recreational and educational services, but it is also preventing people from accessing their jobs.
Transit buses in these areas are not convenient forms of transportation they are necessary services for the community.
We, the undersigned, call on the HRM Councilors, our current Mayor Peter Kelly, and all those who wish to be elected in October that the communities of the HRM demand that our transit system back and Community input in future changes.
